We’re a week into 2018 and I know some of you folks out there have something extra special to be thankful for this past holiday season!!!! It’s sparkly and on your left hand there! Engagement season is in full swing, and with that I am meeting a lot of excited couples that are ready to say I-do!
In the interest of getting to know each other a bit better, I wanted to do a little introduction post of sorts. I’m calling it New Year, Same Favs! All things weddings excite me, but outside of the wedding industry, here are a few of my favs:
-I’m obsessed (to say the least) with my dogs! Luna is my 2-year-old Bernedoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog/Standard Poodle). She is our supermodel with poise and grace, and just a little attitude from time to time. Baggins is our 1-year-old rescue pup who looks like a mini version of our big girl, however he was listed at a Mini-schnauzer and poodle mix. Regardless, he’s our shadow around the house, loyal cuddler, and mischief-maker when we’re not around. I’ll stop here, but trust that I could go on and on! (Photo by the Lovely Maria Lamb)
-I love candles and essential oils in my diffuser. Walking into my home you’ll either smell a fresh citrus scent or a warm clove aroma (think holiday season). Candles and oils are one of my few indulgences and you’ll find them all over my house. The candles below are some of my fav from Let’s Put A Bird On It!! Check out her goods!
-My go-to cocktail is a vodka gimlet, a family favorite, but if I’m drinking wine – you’ll find me sipping a Petit Syrah when I can find it or a Pinot Noir from Alma Rosa Winery in Santa Ynez Valley. Clone 667 is my fav, but you can’t go wrong with any of their reds! Go see their hip little tasting room in Buellton!
-If I had just one thing to eat for the rest of my life, it would be buttered popcorn with salt. It was a staple in my home growing up with our Stir Crazy Popcorn machine and we even had a popcorn dance. Come over for some, and I’ll show you! I now have the same machine my parents did in my home and it’s a must for movie nights in and at my weekly Bachelor indulgence with girlfriends.
-I love design and décor. My degree in undergraduate had an emphasis on photography and design. After finishing my art history requirements in London, England, I was exposed to design everywhere! You’ll see in my work that I pay particular attention to composition and details for this reason, I see it as a bigger picture, literally. I love the intricacies that at times can be overlooked. I seek to find those special elements in design and in life! You’ll find most of the coffee table books in my house are related to design in one way or another, including my recent addition (thanks Santa!) the Eames beautiful details book!
I’d love to know more about YOU!!! Drop 3 of your favorite things in the comments below!
Until next time… xoM
