I had been photographing weddings in LA for a few years before I truly knew where this venue was! Greystone Mansion is a dreamy estate that is perfectly hidden in Beverly Hills just north of Sunset Blvd. What looks like should be a chateau in France, is tucked in the middle of Los Angeles — and trust me, this venue will make you forget all about the traffic to get there!

Here is everything you need to know about getting married at Greystone Mansion — The property has a diverse range of locations for each part of your wedding day.

The Formal Garden is a gorgeously groomed lawn, located near the parking for the venue, perfect for the ceremony. Whether your wedding is intimate in size or hosting 300 people, this garden can accommodate it all. Since Food is not allowed in this area of the property, the function is limited to ceremony only.

The Terrace & Reflection Pond is perfect for cocktail hour. The terrace wraps around the mansion itself giving you room to creates different vignettes for appetizers, music, lounges, etc. Not to mention there is an amazing view of Beverly Hill. If you are having a smaller celebration, this is a great sport for a romantic, intimate dinner overlooking the city! Or if you want to see the city while you dance the night away, you could host your reception here.

The Mansion Interior made famous in movies, has elegant charm and spacious rooms for the wedding party to get ready. Classically elegant in design, they are the perfect spot to kick off your wedding day. The interior including the Grand Staircase is also an option for dinner, seating up to 60 people.  While I do not have any current interior photos, it is stunning — you’ll just have to take me word for it!

The Mansion Courtyard is a gorgeous area that is perfect for a seated dinner capable of accommodating 200 guests with room to dance! It a beautiful, enclosed area of the mansion that creates a sense of privacy but with room to party!

The Pool Area is the perfect holding space for your wedding party prior to getting married on the Formal Garden. The space however can host ceremony or dinner itself.

This part of the property is very private, yet still very close to the entrance of the property and convenient parking! Need wheelchair access? Then this is your spot!

The Cypress Walk & Forecourt is one of my favorite parts of the this luxurious property, and one of the best photo opportunities at the estate, whether its for a first look, family portraits, or sunset romantics — you can’t go wrong. The walk is also the perfect location for a cypress lined dinner experience. Think one long table with all your family and friends for a sunset soiree.

As stated on their website, Greystone is best suited for weddings with 200 guests or less. The winter season (mid-Novemeber through mid-April) is restricted to 120 guests total. See their list of frequently asked questions here, or contact them directly here

Getting Married somewhere else, but still love the vibe of Greystone? You could easily host a shower or brunch on site, or they offer hourly permits to photograph on the property which would be perfect for an engagement session.

One of my favorite glam engagement sessions was shot at the mansion.

*Note — Greystone Mansion is currently closed to the public due to Covid-19. Visit their website for the most up to date schedule and to contact them directly. Visit their instagram for fun behind the scenes stories, old Hollywood images, and other wedding inspiration.
